From East to West…
The River Market & Argenta Arts Districts
For those of you staying downtown, you’re already here! The trollies are a fun way to tour both of these districts - just be sure to take the Blue Line if you want to cross the Arkansas River for Argenta in North Little Rock. If you’re exploring on foot, the Museum of Discovery and the Riverfront Park and Sculpture Garden are favorite spots for all ages. You can always rent a bike and explore on your own instead!
SoMa (South Main)
Just a mile or so from downtown is SoMa - excellent food and fun shopping too! For breakfast or lunch, you can’t miss with Community Bakery, Boulevard Bread’s SoMa location, or the Root Cafe. For perusing, the Green Corner Store, Moxy, the Esse Purse Museum, and the Sunday morning Bernice Gardens Farmers Market are always hits. For happy hour, dinner and dessert, check out BCW, Raduno, and Loblolly Creamery (in that order).
Hillcrest & The Heights Neighborhoods
If you’re not already warming up for the pickleball tournament, start at the Hillcrest Farmers Market on Saturday morning. Enjoy great coffee and pastries at Mylo’s or Boulevard Bread’s original Heights location. Depending on your mood, lunch at Leo’s Greek Castle or Scallions, and enjoy all the cute shops from Box Turtle to Domestic Domestic and everything in between. For a late night, check out the live music at the White Water Tavern.
Two Rivers Park
If you made it this far, welcome to West Little Rock! Two Rivers Park is a perfect place to spend an afternoon. Pick up a picnic lunch from The Purple Cow or The Croissanterie and either walk, run, bike, or kayak your way through the converging Little Maumelle and Arkansas Rivers. Keep your eyes peeled for all kinds of wildlife here!
Pinnacle Mountain State Park
And if you made it to West Little Rock, you may as well go all the way to the crown jewel: Pinnacle Mountain State Park. The West Summit Trail is less strenuous than the East Summit Trail, but both deliver breathtaking views of Little Rock. On your way out to or back from the mountain, be sure to stop at Izzy’s, a Hedges Family favorite.
